CREATOR OF THE CHA CHA CHA

This orchestra was founded in Havana on November 11 de1953 by Maestro Enrique Jorrín (1926-1987) dedicated his repertoire to the spread of Cuban Popular Muica, mainly Chachacha although cultivated Danzon, guaracha, Son, Boleros and Songs, and other genres such as international Zamba, Cumbias, etc.., a country with major figures such as Paul Santamaria, Omara Portuondo, Farah Maria, Elena Burke, among others.

ORCHESTRA JORRÍNAt the beginning of the 50s, the teacher Jorrín, I think the dance music, known as Cha-cha-cha, whose fame has spread to most corners of the world, for its smooth passage and brushes feet, which left the peculiar sound of the cha-cha-cha.
The wide and varied repertoire with which the orchestra was supported by the interpretation of works of famous composers, Rafael Lay, felix Queen, Richart Eguez, Cesar Portillo de la Luz, Tony Lopéz Olivera (current director d ela orchestra) and the Master Jorrín.
